Applications are invited for appointments as Practice Clinical Professor/Practice Associate Clinical Professor/Practice Assistant Clinical Professor (several posts) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine Emergency Medicine Unit (Ref: 511573), to begin as soon as possible, on a fixed-term basis of two to four years, with the possibility of renewal subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance. Split appointments may be considered for suitable candidates.
Applicants must have a medical qualification registrable with the Hong Kong Medical Council and a higher professional specialty scholarship qualification from relevant Hong Kong colleges of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine or equivalent. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and be able to contribute to the improvement and development of Faculty courses in the broad spectrum of medical and health science education. Proven ability and potential in conducting research in their respective field(s) would be an advantage. Direct communication with patients is necessary and the languages used are English, Cantonese and Putonghua. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At the current rate, payroll tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. Appointments will result in a termination gratuity and a University contribution to a pension plan, totaling up to 15% of base salary. A monthly cash stipend will be offered to successful candidates. Housing allowances will also be provided where applicable.
